[Video Goals] Crystal Palace 1-2 Arsenal: Gunners Hold On To Move Third

By on February 21, 2015

Arsenal ground out a 2-1 win over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park this afternoon to move up to third place in the Premier League table.

The Gunners were handed the perfect opportunity to open the scoring early on as Danny Welbeck was fouled just inside the area. Santi Cazorla stepped up to make no mistake from the spot for 1-0.

Palace applied the pressure but we went into half time two-up as Olivier Giroud was on hand to prod home after Speroni had saved Welbeck’s initial effort in the 45th minute.

The hosts eventually found a way through as substitute Glenn Murray bundled the ball home in the 93rd minute and the striker almost grabbed a late point as he crashed a header off the post in the dying seconds.

The win sees us move up to third place in the table after Man Utd lost at Swansea.
