[Video Goals] Man Utd 1-2 Arsenal: Welbeck Sinks Utd As Gunners Reach Wembley

Arsenal booked their place in the semi finals of the FA Cup after a 2-1 victory over Manchester United at Old Trafford on Monday evening with Danny Welbeck proving to be the match-winner.

The Gunners broke the deadlock midway through the first half when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain jinked his way through the United defence before teeing-up Nacho Monreal who finished well for 0-1.

United hit-back almost immediately as Wayne Rooney headed home Angel Di Maria’s cross in the 29th minute to level things up at 1-1.

However, Welbeck pounced on a short back-pass from Antonio Valencia to round David De Gea and slot home into the empty net to win it for Arsenal in the second half.

Di Maria was sent off in bizarre circumstances as he was first booked for diving before being given a second yellow for grabbing the referee and 10-man United failed to find the equaliser they needed to force a replay.
