Rodgers Makes 2 Changes: Predicted Liverpool Line-Up To Face Aston Villa

Liverpool will be looking to book their place in the FA Cup Final when they take on Aston Villa at Wembley on Sunday afternoon. Here is the side I think Brendan Rodgers will pick:

Goalkeeper: No decision for Rodgers to make in goal as Simon Mignolet is a certain starter for this game.

Defence: Martin Skrtel is back after serving his three-game suspension and Rodgers is expected to bring him straight back into the side. The big decision for the Reds boss is whether to stick with his 4-3-3 formation or revert to three at the back now that Skrtel is available again.

I have a feeling we’ll see the Northern Irishman stick with a flat back four which means Dejan Lovren is the man most likely to make way with Emre Can alongside Skrtel, and Glen Johnson and Alberto Moreno in the full-back positions.

Midfield: Steven Gerrard is also back in contention after serving his three game ban but I think the skipper may have to make-do with a place on the bench as he’s only played 27 minutes of football since February 10th.

This will mean Lucas Leiva will continue in the holding role with Jordan Henderson and Joe Allen just in front of the Brazilian international in midfield.

Attack: Daniel Sturridge will be given a late fitness test but I don’t think he’ll be deemed fit enough to start, so Raheem Sterling should continue to spearhead the attack as he did against Newcastle on Monday night.

Jordon Ibe is cup-tied so Lazar Markovic could come into the side with Adam Lallana a major doubt with an on-going groin injury. Philippe Courtinho is almost certain to keep his place in attack, while Mario Balotelli could return to the bench.

Here is how I think we’ll see Liverpool line-up:
