Tottenham will look to secure automatic European qualification when they take on Everton at Goodison Park on Sunday afternoon. Here is the Spurs team news and the side I think Mauricio Pochettino will select….

Goalkeeper: Michel Vorm is a doubt for the game due to illness so Brad Friedel could yet play some part as he gets ready to bring down the curtain on an excellent career. The American is likely to be named on the bench with Hugo Lloris once again starting between the sticks.

Defence: Kyle Walker remains out with a foot injury so Eric Dier is likely to start at right-back and with Ben Davies out with a shoulder problem, Danny Rose is certain to keep his place at left-back.

Vlad Chiriches returns from suspension but is unlikely to start with Jan Vertonghen and Federico Fazio expected to maintain their partnership in the middle of defence.

Midfield: Pochettino is expected to stick with his preferred central midfield pairing of Nabil Bentaleb and Ryan Mason, with the likes of Etienne Capoue and Mousa Dembele still out of favour under the Argentinean. If he does opt to make a change, then Paulinho could be in the man to come in.

Attack: Emmanuel Adebayor has been given permission to return to Togo for family reason but Harry Kane would have started up front anyway. Erik Lamela could keep his place on the right-wing, although Andros Townsend is pushing for a recall.

Christian Eriksen is a dead cert to start in the playmaker role while Nacer Chadli should keep his place in attack.

This is how Spurs could line-up:

What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
