Striker Loic Remy scored a stunning winner as Chelsea beat Sydney FC 1-0 in their end of season friendly this afternoon.

Having already beaten a Thailand All Star XI 1-0 on Saturday, the Premier League champions flew to Australia to take on Sydney FC at the ANZ Stadium today.

Jose Mourinho named a strong side for the game with the likes of Petr Cech, John Terry, Branislav Ivanovic, Nemanja Matic, Eden Hazard, Loic Remy and Diego Costa all starting.

In an entertaining match, it was Remy who made the difference, with the French international scoring what turned out to be the winner in the first half as he cut in from the right before firing home a stunning left-footed strike.

Both sides had chances to add to the score-line with Remy seeing an effort after the break cleared off the line, but no further goals were scored so Chelsea finished off their season with 1-0 win.
