Arsenal: What To Expect In December

Well, well, well….the Carling Cup this year has thrown up many surprises, but who expected the league-leaders to get a drubbing at East London ? Certainly not me.

Speaking of London, Arsenal as all of you already know are in the semi-finals of the Carling Cup. Yesterday’s 2-0 defeat of Wigan at the Emirates has given the club a real opportunity to obtain silverware this season. With United beaten, West ham, Villa/Birmingham and WBA (if they qualify) shall be the only remaining Premier League teams in the competition. Of which the Gunners has beaten all of them already this season with the exception of WBA.

So here is the opportunity to win the Carling Cup. But lets not get cocky. A cup is won on patience and constant performance, not on paper. Just ask United…

This week we take on Fulham at the Emirates, and next week its United away. For me, these 2 games are crucial. December arrives, and luckily the majority of our games are at home this month. First is Fulham , followed by United away. Then comes 2 consecutive games at home. Stoke and Chelsea. The latter being “well you know what. ” After the match against Chelsea we face a tricky trip to Wigan. Yeah, the last time we went there, we conceded 3 in 10 mins !

I expect the team to beat Fulham, I hope they beat United. I expect a win against Stoke, and again hope we beat Chelsea. And lastly, we should win at the JJB, which if I may add is going to be our last match for 2010. To be the way I am, I expect at least 10 points from these 5 PL fixtures..

Cheers,

THE ARMOURY
