Manchester United eased into the fourth round of the Capital One Cup on Wednesday night with a comfortable 3-0 victory over Ipswich Town at Old Trafford.

Wayne Rooney opened the scoring midway through the first half with a cool left-footed finish before youngster Andreas Pereira doubled the hosts lead in the 60th minute with a stunning free-kick.

Summer signing Anthony Martial continued his superb start to life at Old Trafford after coming off the bench to grab a late third to book United’s place in the next round where they’ll play Middlesbrough.

After the game, several of the players have taken to Twitter to celebrate their progression to the fourth round of the League Cup with Pereira, Memphis Depay, David De Gea, Marouane Fellaini, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Daley Blind, Antonio Valencia, Ashley Young, Juan Mata and Ander Herrera all having their say.
