By on October 17, 2015

The players have been celebrating online after Manchester United bounced back with a superb 3-0 victory over Everton at Goodison Park on Saturday afternoon.

United opened the scoring midway through the first half when Morgan Schneiderlin slotted home before Ander Herrera made it 2-0 shortly after with a close range header.

Wayne Rooney then scored his first away goal in the Premier League since back in 2014 to secure the three points against his boyhood club. You can watch the goals here.

The win temporarily moved United up to second place in the table and two points behind leaders Manchester City – although the Red Devils have since slipped to third following Arsenal’s 3-0 win at Watford.

After the game, several of the United  squad have been reacting on social media sites with Chris Smalling, Anthony Martial, Ashley Young, Marcos Rojo, Ander Herrera, Juan Mata, Phil Jones, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger all having their say on Twitter.

Skipper Rooney has also taken to Instagram to not only hail United’s performance today but to also pay tribute to former Everton boss Howard Kendall – who sadly passed away at the age of 69.
