The match official appointments for this coming weekend’s Premier League action have been confirmed and Mark Clattenburg has been handed the big Manchester derby.

United got themselves back on track with a comfortable win over Everton on Saturday and they’ll entertain league leaders City at Old Trafford on Sunday, and Clattenburg has been selected as the man to take charge of the big game.

Arsenal remain second in the table after an impressive win at Watford and Lee Mason will be the man in the middle when Arsene Wenger’s men host Everton at the Emirates on Saturday evening.

Defending champions Chelsea got back to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Aston Villa last time out and Jonathan Moss has been appointed as the match official when Jose Mourinho’s side take on London rivals West Ham at Upton Park this weekend.

Andre Marriner will be the man in the middle when Liverpool entertain Southampton in what will be Jurgen Klopp’s first game in charge at Anfield on Sunday afternoon.

Let’s hope we have another enthralling weekend of Premier League action with the headlines focussing on the exciting football rather than controversial refereeing decisions!
