Premier League action returns after the international break as Chelsea prepare to welcome Norwich City to Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the game, Jose Mourinho has been holding his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given reporters a team news and injury update.

The Portuguese coach was pleased to confirm that Eden Hazard was able to take part in full training on Thursday amid reports the attacker was suffering from illness while away with the Belgian national team this week.

Hazard has struggled to replicate the kind of form that he showed consistently throughout last season but it will still be a relief that he’s fit and available for the Norwich game this weekend as Chelsea are desperate for a win to climb up the table.

Mourinho also gave an update on the fitness of Radamel Falcao and says the striker is close to recovering from a muscle injury that he picked up last month but this weekend’s game will of course come too soon for the Colombian international.

As we reported earlier, Thibaut Courtois is also closing in on his comeback and while Mourinho has refused to name a specific return date, the Blues boss is confident his number one will be back in contention in December.

Chelsea have endured a miserable season so far and they head into the weekend’s action sitting 16th in the Premier League table so I’m sure Mourinho will be desperate for Courtois to return as quickly as possible.

The only other injury doubt for the Norwich clash is Kurt Zouma but Mourinho didn’t give any update on the defender’s fitness this afternoon so we’ll just have to wait and see if he makes the squad tomorrow.

Here is what the Chelsea manager had to say:
