Manchester United will look to give their top four hopes a major boost when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon. Here is the side I think van Gaal will pick:

Goalkeeper: David de Gea is certain to start between the sticks once again this weekend.

Defence: Matteo Darmian made a successful return to the starting eleven during Tuesday night’s impressive win over Stoke City so with Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young still out injured, the Italian should continue at right-back on Sunday.

Luke Shaw and Marcos Rojo are also still unavailable with long-term injuries so youngster Cameron Borthwick-Jackson will be given another chance to impress at left-back. Phil Jones returned to training today but is unlikely to be risked from the start on Sunday so Daley Blind will once again play alongside Chris Smalling.

Midfield: Bastian Schweinsteiger has been ruled out as he continues to nurse a niggling knee injury so Morgan Schneiderlin could get a recall in midfield alongside Michael Carrick if van Gaal wants to deploy two defensive minded midfielder at the Bridge. That would see Marouane Fellaini dropping to the bench.

Attack: Ander Herrera could also get a recall to the starting eleven in place of Jesse Lingard but Juan Mata should keep his place after an impressive showing in midweek. Anthony Martial was on the score-sheet against Stoke and he should keep his place in attack along with Wayne Rooney.

Here is how we think United will line-up:

BACK CHELSEA TO WIN AT 6/1 OR MAN UTD AT 10/1 + MONEY BACK IF YOU LOSE

What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?
