Tottenham players have been celebrating on Twitter after they secured a priceless 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Tottenham Hotspur players have been celebrating on Twitter after they secured a priceless 2-1 victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

After a goalless opening forty-five minutes, Spurs broke the deadlock from the penalty spot after Raheem Sterling was adjudged to have handled Danny Rose’s cross inside the area. Harry Kane made no mistake to make it 0-1.

City levelled things up through Iheanacho but Tottenham won it late on when Christian Eriksen cooly slotted past Joe Hart to claim a 2-1 victory that sees the North Londoners regain second spot in the table and move to within two points of leaders Leicester City.

After the game, several of the players have taken to Twitter to celebrate what was a huge three points with Kevin Wimmer, Toby Alderweireld, Eric Dier, Christian Eriksen, Kyle Walker, Mousa Dembele, Harry Kane, Jan Vertonghen and Dele Alli all posting photos and messages to their followers.
