Wenger To Make 3 Changes: Predicted Arsenal Starting XI To Face Swansea

Arsenal will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing loss at Man Utd when they take on Swansea City at the Emirates on Wednesday night. Here is the side Gooner Mac thinks Arsene Wenger will select for the game:

Goalkeeper: Despite shipping three goals at Old Trafford, Petr Cech is certain to keep his place in goal ahead of David Ospina.

Defence: Gabriel was poor against United and was partially at fault for two of the goals so I expect to see Per Mertesacker come back in to the side alongside Laurent Koscielny at the back.

Hector Bellerin and Nacho Monreal are the established first choice full-backs so they’re expected to keep their places ahead of Calum Chambers and Kieran Gibbs.

Midfield: Our midfield isn’t working right now and I think it’s clear we’re missing Santi Cazorla’s influence in the middle of the park but I don’t see Wenger making any changes just yet. He could start Mohamed Elneny and move Aaron Ramsey out to the right but I think the boss will stick with the Welshman alongside Francis Coquelin tomorrow night.

Attack: Danny Welbeck was impressive at Old Trafford but he’s expected to get a rest after playing 80 minutes on his first league start in almost a year. Theo Walcott was a huge disappointment at the weekend and it’s difficult to see him keeping his place in attack so I think we’ll see Joel Campbell and Olivier Giroud come in.

Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has been ruled out for up to eight weeks with a knee injury so Wenger doesn’t have too many other options in attack, therefore, Alexis Sanchez is expected to retain his place alongside Mesut Ozil despite his poor form of late.

Here is how I think we’ll see Arsenal line-up:

BACK ARSENAL TO WIN AT 3/1 + MONEY BACK IF YOU LOSE

What do you think? What line-up would you like to see start?

That may be about right. Campbell has been better than Wenger’s favourites – Walcott & Oxlade – ever since the man was given a chance !

Wenger should give Campbell the chance to develop into full potential.
We all see how hard he works when he was given d chance.
