[Video Goals] Norwich 1-2 Chelsea: Kenedy & Costa Sink Canaries

By on March 1, 2016

Chelsea climbed up to eighth in the Premier League table with a hard fought 2-1 victory over Norwich City at Carrow Road on Tuesday night.

The Blues came flying out of the blocks and opened the scoring after just 40 seconds when Brazilian youngster Kenedy drilled home a superb strike from the edge of the area for 0-1.

Chelsea doubled their advantage in controversial fashion just before half time when Diego Costa latched on to a pass from Bertrand Traore before cooly chipped over Ruddy for 2-0. However, replays showed the striker was in an offside position.

Norwich pulled one back in the 67th minute when Nathan Redmond fired home from a tight angle but despite some late pressure from the hosts, Chelsea held on to secure the three points.

The win sees the West Londoners move above Stoke up to eighth place in the table but they remain eight points adrift of fourth-placed Man City – who also have two games in hand.
