By on March 20, 2016

Saido Mane scored twice as Southampton came from 2-0 down at half time to beat Liverpool 3-2 in a thriller at St Marys on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors got off to the perfect start when Philippe Coutinho cut in from the left wing before curling home a stunner in to the bottom corner from 25-yards to make it 0-1 in the 17th minute.

Liverpool then made it 2-0 shortly after as Daniel Sturridge did well to find a yard of space in the Southampton box before cooly slotting home past Frazer Forster in the 22nd minute.

Southampton missed a golden chance to pull one back just after half time when Mane saw his penalty saved but the comeback was on midway through the second half when the attacker made amends after firing home in the 64th minute.

The hosts then drew level in the 83rd minute when Graziano Pelle curled home a beauty from the edge of the area before Mane won it for the Saints with a smart low finish in the 86th minute.
