[Video Goals] Arsenal 4-0 Watford: Sanchez & Iwobi Score As Gunners Thrash Hornets

Arsenal closed the gap on Tottenham and Leicester with a comfortable 4-0 victory over Watford at the Emirates this afternoon.

We started brightly and broke the deadlock in the fourth minute when Alex Iwobi found Alexis Sanchez with a lovely cross. The Chilean’s initial header was well saved but he pounced on the rebound to tap home for 1-0.

The hosts continued to dominate and got a deserved second goal shortly before half-time and this time it was Sanchez’s turn to set-up Iwobi as the youngster swept home for 2-0 in the 37th minute.

Arsenal all-but secured a vital three points when Hector Bellerin pounced on a poor Watford clearance and his volley deflected off Prodl and past Gomes to take it 3-0 in the 48th minute.

The scoring wasn’t finished as Theo Walcott came off the bench to add a late fourth as he tapped home following some great work from Mesut Ozil and Joel Campbell.

The win sees us close the gap on Spurs to three points with leaders Leicester a further five ahead with seven games left to play.
