Serie A Club Reject £30m Offer For Arsenal & Chelsea Target

Napoli have rejected a £30m bid for reported Arsenal and Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly, according to reports. Find out all the details here

The opening of the summer transfer window is fast approaching so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Napoli have turned down an offer for Kalidou Koulibaly….

Napoli have rejected a £30m bid from Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich for reported Arsenal and Chelsea target Kalidou Koulibaly, according to the Express.

The Senegal international has developed in to one of the best centre-backs in Serie A having just come off the back of a superb campaign with Napoli that saw him help guide the club to a second-placed finish behind eventual champions Juventus.

It appears Koulibaly’s impressive form hasn’t gone unnoticed here in England as the Express claim that Arsenal and Chelsea are among the clubs showing an interest in luring the 24-year-old to the Premier League this summer.

Arsene Wenger has already kick-started his summer transfer  business with the signing of midfielder Granit Xhaka but the Gunners boss is reportedly also on the look-out for a partner for Laurent Koscielny and Koulibaly is seemingly on his radar.

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is also expected to be busy over the next few months rebuilding the Blues squad following a disastrous campaign and Koulibaly could be viewed as a long-term replacement for skipper John Terry.

However, it looks as though the London duo are going to face some stiff competition for his signature as the Express are citing reports coming from Italian paper Corriere dello Sport that claim Bayern Munich have tabled an opening £30m offer.

The report suggests that Napoli have already rejected the bid as coach Maurizio Sarri sees Koulibaly as a vital part of his starting eleven so Arsenal, Chelsea and Bayern are all going to have to dig deep if they want to lure the centre-back away from Italy.

Koulibaly would certainly be an excellent addition for either Arsenal or Chelsea and the 6ft 5ins powerhouse should have no problem adapting to life in the Premier League, but it looks as though they have a fight on their hands if they are to be successful in bringing the defender to England this summer.
