Man Utd Make Move To Hijack Arsenal & Chelsea’s Attempts To Sign 32-Assist Attacker

Manchester United have joined the race to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan and could hijack Arsenal and Chelsea’s attempts to sign the Borussia Dortmund attacker

The opening of the summer transfer window is fast approaching so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Manchester United join the race for Henrikh Mkhitaryan…..

Manchester United have joined the race to sign Henrikh Mkhitaryan and could hijack Arsenal and Chelsea’s attempts to sign the Borussia Dortmund attacker this summer, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.

Mkhitaryan has become one of the most dangerous attackers in European football since joining Dortmund from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013 and he finished off a superb campaign with 23 goals and a staggering 32 assists last season.

That impressive form has attracted interest from the Premier League with the Daily Star reporting earlier this week that Arsenal and Chelsea have put forward lucrative offers to the Armenian international.

Mkhitaryan has just one year remaining on his current deal and the newspaper claims he could be on the move this summer after rejecting Dortmund’s latest contract extension with the report suggesting the 27-year-old has had his head turned by the offers from England.

Arsene Wenger has already been active in the market with the signing of midfielder Granit Xhaka from Borussia Monchengladbach but with the future’s of Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in serious doubt, the Gunners could be eyeing Mkhitaryan as a potential replacement.

Incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte is also expected to be busy in the transfer market this summer rebuilding the Blues squad following a disastrous season and the Italian tactician could certainly do with the creativity of Mkhitaryan in his new-look side next year.

However, it looks as though the London duo will now face stiff competition for his signature as Italian outlet Gianluca Di Marzio claim that Manchester United have now made enquiries of their own while Italian giants Juventus are also showing a keen interest in the attacker.

New United boss Jose Mourinho is likely to be busy over the coming months strengthening the squad he’s inherited from Louis van Gaal and the Portuguese coach will surely be looking to add more goal threats to his team after watching United score just 49 league goals last season.

There aren’t many better creative talents than Mkhitaryan right now and it looks as though there could be a three-way battle to try and lure the player to the Premier League this summer.
