Here are some photos of Rob Holding posing in his Arsenal shirt after he completed a move to the Emirates from Bolton Wanderers.

The summer transfer window is now open for business so we’ll bring you all the latest transfer rumours and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal sign Rob Holding from Bolton….

Arsenal have completed the signing of highly-rated England Under-21 international defender Rob Holding from Bolton Wanders, the club has confirmed on Arsenal.com.

Holding emerged as one of the hottest young talents outside of the Premier League after progressing through the Bolton youth ranks before breaking in to the their first team set-up at the start of last season.

The 20-year-old went on to make 30 appearances for the Trotters first team and was eventually named as their Player of the Year despite the club being relegated to League One.

Holding’s impressive form not only attracted interest from Arsenal but he broke in to the England Under-21 set-up and helped them win the Toulon tournament this summer.

Arsenal have been working on a deal to sign the defender in recent weeks and we’ve finally been able to secure a deal with Bolton after the club announced on our official website that Holding has joined on a long-term contract.

Neither club has revealed the transfer fee but the BBC claim that we’re paying around £2m for the youngster, which is a superb deal for a player of his quality and potential in today’s market.

Holding has played most of his career at centre-back but he’s also comfortable playing at right-back so he’ll give Arsene Wenger plenty of options in defence this coming season.

The defenders arrival could see Calum Chambers make a loan move away from the club this summer after failing to establish himself at Arsenal following his move from Southampton.

Holding becomes our third signing of the summer following the arrival’s of midfielder Granit Xhaka and young Japanese striker Takuma Asano, but I think Wenger will still be looking to bring in one or two more established names over the coming weeks.

We are still lacking a top class centre-back as well as a striker if we really want to be competing for the title next season. For those of you who like to bet on sports, Arsenal wouldn’t be a popular tip right now given how much our competition has strengthened already this summer compared to us.

Chelsea, Man Utd and Liverpool have all been active while Man City are expected to spend big before the start of the season so it’s easy to understand why Arsenal are only the fourth favourites to win the Premier League with the bookmakers.
