Several Arsenal players have shared photos from the plane as the squad flew-out to the United States this afternoon for our pre-season tour.

Arsene Wenger has taken a 23-man squad with him to America but has been forced to take a number of youngsters with several established names left behind.

Per Mertesacker was the latest player to miss out as he’s been left back in north London to nurse a knee injury while Gabriel hasn’t travelled as he’s suffering from tonsillitis.

The defender’s join Aaron Ramsey, Mesut Ozil, Olivier Giroud and Laurent Koscielny in missing the trip with the quartet still on an extended break following their participation at Euro 2016 while Alexis Sanchez also misses out with an ankle injury.

However, there are still plenty of top names on the plane which flew-out from London this afternoon with the likes of Petr Cech, Theo Walcott, Granit Xhaka, Santi Cazorla, Calum Chambers, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Hector Bellerin all included.

Some of the players have taken to social media sites to upload some snaps from the plane as the players get set for a long flight ahead of our pre-season games against an MLS All-Star XI and Chivas de Guadalajara later this week.
