[Video] Is This The Reason Klopp Sent Sakho Home From Liverpool’s US Tour?

Mamadou Sakho’s Anfield future is in serious doubt after he was sent home from Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the United States by Jurgen Klopp due to concerns over his attitude, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Sakho has been nursing an Achilles injury in recent weeks and is expected to miss the start of the new Premier League season but he was still taken on the clubs pre-season tour as the Reds flew-out to America last week.

However, the Liverpool Echo are reporting that the French international is now en route back to England after Klopp decided to cut short his stay in the States and order the defender to return home prematurely.

Liverpool have confirmed Sakho has left their pre-season tour but declined to comment on the reasons behind the decision, however, the Echo claim Klopp has axed the 26-year-old due to concerns over the defenders attitude around the club’s training camp.

No further details are given as to what Sakho has been up to but a video emerged over the weekend showing the defender interrupting a Klopp interview to ask a silly question only for the Reds boss to respond by reminding the centre-back that he was the only player to turn up late ahead of their flight to the US.

Is this one of the reasons Sakho has been sent home? Klopp appears to be laughing throughout the video but perhaps this gives us an insight in to Sakho’s attitude during the tour and Klopp is likely to take a dim view on a player arriving late and messing about during interviews.

Sakho is due to arrive back at Heathrow today and will now continue treatment on an injury at Melwood while the rest of the squad prepare for friendly matches with Chelsea, AC Milan and Roma over the coming week.
