By on August 7, 2016

Arsenal finished off their pre-season preparations with a 3-2 win over Manchester City in an entertaining clash in Gothenburg this evening.

The Gunners started brightly but were punished for not taking their chances as Sergio Aguero scored from a superb Raheem Sterling cross in the 30th minute.

Arsenal drew level just after the break as Alex Iwobi found the bottom corner from the edge of the box before Alexis Sanchez found Theo Walcott with a superb ball before the forward chipped over Joe Hart for 2-1 in the 73rd minute.

Chuba Akpom got his third goal of pre-season as he tapped home after Walcott had taken advantage of a sloppy pass at the back and while Kelechi Ihenacho headed home a second for City, Arsenal held on to secure the win.
