The Transfers We Are Most Excited About for the New EPL Season

With the new Premier League season now underway we take a look at some of the business the big clubs have been doing this summer.

Premier-League-Trophy

Great managers sometimes win major trophies, but not even the best coaches can triumph without a quality team. The Premier League has been in turmoil since the end of the 2015/2016 season, after Leicester won the trophy. English giants spent small fortunes trying to consolidate their rotations and bring the best managers in the world. With all this money spent, the expectations are sky-high and the upcoming season promises to be the most exciting of them all.

Bookmakers have already posted the odds on favorites and underdogs, but nobody can rule out another surprise. After Leicester triumphed last season, it is anyone’s guess who will score the big points this year. The Tempting odds and diverse markets of bookies that one can find at portals like  OnlineCasinosReports.co.uk can easily catch the eye of those who don’t mind placing ante-post bets on the English first division. A couple of high profile matches are scheduled for the first weeks of the season and their outcome can influence the odds offered. Therefore, savvy punters are inclined to place a bet early on.

The Premier League Transfer Mill Resumes the Grind

English teams play in multiple competitions and many of them are also involved in European tournaments. A strong squad is essential for standing a chance at winning the trophy, so it’s no wonder most teams have been busy in the market this summer. Chelsea has signed Antonio Conte as its new manager, after his impressive performance in the Italian national team at Euro 2016. As for players, the most notable additions are Michy Batshuayi from Marseille and N’Golo Kante from Leicester.

Arsenal has the reputation of spending less money than it makes from selling players, but this season promises to be different. Granit Xhaka, Takuma Asano and Rob Holding were acquired for undisclosed amounts while veteran players were let go. Among the prominent names on this list, it’s worth mentioning Mikel Arteta, Tomas Rosicky and Mathieu Flamini were no longer in their prime. Arsene Wenger is also expected to bring in another centre-back and striker before the window closes.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp made the difficult decision of letting go Kolo Toure, Joao Carlos Teixeira and Jerome Sinclair. In exchange, he acquired four players from Germany, Sadio Mane from Southhampton and Georginio Wijnaldum from Newcastle. Manchester City has Pep Guardiola as new manager and the most important additions to his squad are John Stones from Everton and Ilkay Gundogan from Borussia Dortmund.

Their city rivals didn’t lose any time either and with José Mourinho at the helm, they are ready to push for the title. Zlatan Ibrahimovic joins them from PSG, while the roster is strengthened by the addition of Paul Pogba from Juventus, Henrikh Mkhitaryan from Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal’s Eric Bailly.

I’m sure plenty more business will be done before the end of the month so it’s shaping up to be another exciting season and the winner of this years Premier League is wide open.
