Tottenham Hotspur will look to build on their opening weekend draw at Everton when they welcome Crystal Palace to White Hart Lane on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the game, Mauricio Pochettino has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given TottenhamHotspur.com a team news and injury update.

The Argentinean coach was pleased to confirm that Heung-Min Son is now back from Brazil after competing for his country and the Olympics and should be available for selection against Palace on Saturday.

The attacker played in the quarter finals in Rio as South Korena crashed out following a 1-0 defeat to Honduras and Pochettino says Son will be assessed on Friday to see whether he’ll be selected in the squad this weekend.

Spurs will once again be without Mousa Dembele as he continues to serve his suspension that was carried over from last season while Hugo Lloris has been ruled out until after the international break with a hamstring injury that he suffered against Everton last Saturday.

Pochettino told the clubs website:

“Son is available, he arrived a little bit sad after the elimination in the quarter-final and we’ll see. We need to assess him tomorrow and we’ll see if he’s in the squad or not.

“Mousa Dembele is suspended and Hugo Lloris is out, we hope it’s not too bad and he’ll be back with us again after the (international) break.”

Tottenham will be desperate to get their first three points on the board after being held to a 1-1 draw by Everton at Goodison Park last weekend and Pochettino will no doubt want to collect a win in front of their home fans against Palace.
