Arsenal have been handed a major injury boost with Aaron Ramsey and Laurent Koscielny taking part in training today ahead of Tuesday night’s Champions League game with Paris Saint-Germain.

Koscielny was considered as a doubt for our group stage opener at the Parc des Prince tomorrow night after suffering a nasty eye injury during the 2-1 victory over Southampton on Saturday afternoon.

Saints defender Jose Fonte caught the French international in the face with his boot during the final minute of the match at the Emirates and Arsene Wenger said after the game that Koscielny was a doubt for the PSG match as his eye was badly swollen.

However, it seems the swelling has subsided as the 31-year-old showed no sign of the injury in training today and was able to take part in the full session with the rest of his team mates at London Colney.

It’s excellent news as Koscielny would have been sorely missed had he been ruled out of the PSG game but it looks as though he’s going to be passed fit and should line-up alongside Shkodran Mustafi.

In a double boost, Ramsey was also back in training as he continues to step-up his recovery from a hamstring injury that’s kept him on the sidelines since the opening weekend of the season.

Ramsey wasn’t able to fully train today and isn’t expected to travel to Paris for the Champions League clash tomorrow but he could make his return against Hull City at the weekend.
