[Video] Chelsea Star Offers Injury Update Ahead Of Arsenal Showdown

John Terry has offered another update on his ankle injury and it looks like he’s winning his fight to be fight for Chelsea’s trip to Arsenal next weekend.

John Terry has offered another update on his ankle injury and it looks like he’s winning his fight to be fight for Chelsea’s trip to Arsenal next weekend.

Terry suffered the injury during the final minute of Chelsea’s 2-2 draw with Swansea City last weekend after rolling his ankle following a clash with midfielder Leroy Fer in stoppage time.

The 35-year-old limped away from the Liberty Stadium on crutches and subsequently missed the Blues’s disappointing 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Stamford Bridge last Friday after being ruled out for 10 days.

In Terry’s absence, David Luiz came in alongside Gary Cahill to make his second debut for the club following his move from Paris Saint-Germain on deadline day and the Brazilian is expected to keep his place against Leicester City in the League Cup tomorrow night.

However, Antonio Conte will be desperate for his skipper to be available for Saturday’s trip to the Emirates Stadium to take on Arsenal and Terry has now posted an injury update to his Instagram account ahead of the game.

The centre-back uploaded a video to the social networking site of him running in a swimming pool with a message saying that his ankle is on the mend. Terry said:

“Late night session in the pool. My ankle is feeling much better, hopefully I will be back soon”.

So it looks as though Terry could be winning his fight to be fit to face the Gunners this coming weekend and his return would be a major boost for the west Londoners as they look to bounce back from their disappointing defeat to Liverpool.
