Liverpool duo Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino were both on target as Brazil thrashed Bolivia 5-0 in their World Cup qualifier last night.

Barcelona superstar Neymar opened the scoring in the 10th minute after playing a neat one-two with Gabriel Jesus before Coutinho doubled the hosts advantage with a nice finish after good work from Giuliano and Dani Alves.

Filipe Luis then slotted home the third before Jesus made it 4-0 two minutes before half time when he deftly chipped over the Bolivian goalkeeper following a pass from Neymar.

Liverpool attacker Firmino then came off the bench to head home the fifth following a corner to ease Brazil to a 5-0 win which sees them remain second in the 10-team South American qualifying group.

Brazil will now head to Merida to take on Venezuela next week as they look to take another step closer to qualification to Russia 2018 and Liverpool’s attacking duo will hope to be involved.
