[Teams] Slovenia vs England: Spurs & Liverpool Stars Start As Rooney Drops Out

Gareth Southgate will be hoping to make it two wins from two games when England take on Slovenia in their latest World Cup qualifier this evening.

As confirmed yesterday, Wayne Rooney drops to the bench with Eric Dier coming in to start in the holding role along with new skipper Jordan Henderson.

Tottenham’s Danny Rose comes in at left-back with Ryan Bertrand ruled out through injury while Arsenal’s Theo Walcott keeps his place in attack along with Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard.

Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge continues to lead the line up front with Leicester City hitman Jamie Vardy once again named on the bench.
