[Photos] Steven Gerrard Spotted At Liverpool’s Training Base Ahead Of Man Utd Game

Steven Gerrard has been spotted back at Liverpool’s Melwood training base today as the club prepare for Monday’s clash with Manchester United.

Steven Gerrard is back at Liverpool’s Melwood training base today to undergo treatment on a hamstring injury as the club prepare for Monday’s clash with Manchester United, according to the Mirror.

The Liverpool legend called time on his illustrious career at Anfield following 17 years of loyal service when he joined LA Galaxy in 2015 and he’s racked up 36 appearances for the MLS giants over the past 18 months.

However, Gerrard is currently on the sidelines after picking up a hamstring injury and with the Galaxy set to face Huston Dynamo in Texas on Sunday, the midfield has decided to fly back to Merseyside to spend some time on home soil.

The Mirror claim that Gerrard arrived at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground on Thursday morning where he’s expected to use the clubs medical facilities to undergo some treatment on his hamstring.

The 36-year-old former England captain is expected to remain in England over the weekend and attend Monday night’s huge Premier League clash that sees Manchester United come to Anfield.

Gerrard scored nine times against the Reds fierce north-west rivals during his time at Liverpool and I’m sure Jurgen Klopp would love to have had the midfielder in his prime available for Monday’s mammoth showdown.

Liverpool welcome United to Anfield off the back of an excellent run that’s seen them climb to fourth in the table and three points above Jose Mourinho’s men so it’s all to play for on Monday.
