[Video Goals] West Brom 1-1 Tottenham: Late Alli Goal Saves Spurs

By on October 15, 2016

Dele Alli struck late on to salvage a point for Tottenham Hotspur after they drew 1-1 with West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthorns on Saturday afternoon.

Spurs dominated the opening forty-five minutes but couldn’t find a breakthrough with en Foster making a number of good saves to keep the score at 0-0 at half-time.

The Baggies then took a surprise lead with less than ten minutes remaining as Nacer Chadli scored against his former club as he lashed home from close range after McClean had been denied.

It looked like Mauricio Pochettino’s men were going to lose their unbeaten record this season, however, Alli scored in the 88th minute to rescue a 1-1 draw for the north Londoners.

The point sees Spurs drop to third after Arsenal’s win at home to Swansea but they remain just a point behind leaders Man City after they were held at home to Everton.

Poxy West Brom again. It would have been a mighty injustice if Spurs had lost today. At least Man City didn’t win though that other lucky team who score goals in the last minute with their arms squeezed past brave Swansea. COYS!
