Manchester City take on Spanish giants Barcelona at the Nou Camp tonight in the group stages of the Champions League.

Pep Guardiola returns to his former club and he’s taken the surprise decision to leave Sergio Aguero on the bench for the big game.

Kevin De Bruyne, Nolito Raheem Sterling and David Silva make up the attack in the Argentinean international’s absence and while that’s still a fearsome quintet, it’s still a shock to see Aguero left out.

John Stones does start at the back alongside Nicolas Otamendi while Pablo Zabaleta and Alexandre Kolarov make up the defence with Ilkay Gundogan and Fernandinho in midfield.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Barcelona

Ter Stegen; Mascherano, Pique, Umtiti, Alba; Busquets, Iniesta, Rakitic; Messi, Neymar, Suarez.

Subs: Masip, Arda, Rafinha, Alcácer, Digne, André Gomes, Mathieu

Man City

Bravo, Zabaleta, Otamendi, Stones, Kolarov, Fernandinho, Gundogan, Silva, Sterling, Nolito, De Bruyne

Subs:  Caballero, Fernando, Aguero, Maffeo, Clichy, Sane, Navas
