Conte To Make 1 Change In 3-4-3 System: Predicted Chelsea XI To Face Everton

Chelsea will be looking to keep the pressure on at the top of the Premier League when they take on Everton at Stamford Bridge on Saturday evening.

Here is the team we think Antonio Conte will pick for the game:

Goalkeeper: Thibaut Courtois is expected to retain his place between the sticks this weekend.

Defence: John Terry was dropped to the bench for last weekend’s impressive 2-0 win at Southampton after a disappointing run out in the League Cup defeat to West Ham last week so I expect the skipper to continue on the sidelines.

Kurt Zouma has been improving his match fitness with the under-21’s but isn’t ready to return to the first team just yet so I expect Conte will stick with the same back three that played at St Mary’s with Cesar Azpilicueta, David Luiz and Gary Cahill all keeping their places.

Midfield: Cesc Fabregas remains a doubt through injury but even if the Spaniard is passed fit I don’t see him starting as he’s fallen out-of-favour under Conte. Nemanja Matic is the Italian’s preferred partner for N’Golo Kante and I expect those two to marshall the midfield again this weekend.

Victor Moses has established himself on the right wing so he should keep his place in the team while Marcos Alonso should start on the left.

chelsea's Willian

Attack: Willian has made two substitute appearance since he returned to the squad following the death of his mother so I think the Brazilian international will be pushing for a return to the starting eleven with Pedro the man most likely to drop out.

Eden Hazard has been in fine form of late and continued to impress with another goal against Southampton last time out so he should once again support Diego Costa in attack.

Here is how we think Chelsea will line-up:

personally i dont think we will see willian in the starting eleven just yet because as we all know chelsea have been phenomenal since the formation change but so to has pedro and so far he hasn’t merited being dropped yet and i dont think conte will change what is already working unless when willian appears as a substitute and he makes a real noticeable difference in the team performance.

Willian has been too slow up front and tend to take the ball backwards rather than attempt to beat the defences. I will stick with Pedro until Willian improves.

I didn’t buy d ideal by dropping Pedro and starts wiłian.
Presently, Willian is not in his best form bcoz of what happened to him recently and he still trying to adapt to d new system of formation so I will prefer Pedro to Willian to start and willian to make as substitute. Thanks

I strongly agree with the assertion that Pedro starts ahead of Willian

I think pedro will be better than willian because willian has been very slow this season.

William is a good player but I suggest Pedro should start at least we all know the playing mentality they have established which is so interesting.Pls let’s keep the ball rolling because BLUE is the color… Up Chelsea!

All said and good I think William can start bcus of the way Everton play, they are aggriecieved and William can match that, and William has a good record at the bridge against Everton, good luck to Chelsea, a Chelsea win for sure.

its better Willian starts ahead of Pedro, Chelsea needs a strong ball holder and a good set piece man against a team like Everton who sees every encounter with Chelsea as their ultimate. Willian will be able to hold and set up attacks.

Who should start does not matter. The only thing i see as most crucial is same formation same line-up. Everton are not to be underrated.
