[Video Goals] Man Utd 1-1 West Ham: Ibrahimovic Goal Not Enough Against Hammers

By on November 27, 2016

Manchester United’s poor home form in the Premier League continued after being held to a 1-1 draw by West Ham at Old Trafford this afternoon.

The visitors came flying out of the blocks and opened the scoring in just the second minute as Dimitri Payet fizzed in a dangerous free kick across the face of goal and Sakho beat Zlatan Ibrahimovic to the ball to head on from six yards.

United responded well and levelled things up in the 21st minute when Paul Pogba found Ibrahimovic with a superb ball over the top and the Swedish hitman headed in to the bottom corner for 1-1.

Jose Mourinho was then sent to the stands for protesting a yellow card to Pogba for diving and while United pushed hard to find a winner, the Hammers held firm to secure a 1-1 draw.

The result means United remain sixth in the table but they are now 8 points off fourth-placed Arsenal and a full 11 off leaders Chelsea so they have a lot of work to do to get themselves back in the hunt.
