Live TV FA Cup Games Revealed: Man Utd Picked Again Along With Liverpool & Arsenal
Games involving Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenahm have all been selected after the television companies revealed their picks for the FA Cup third round ties.
The FA Cup draw for the third round took place on Monday evening and holders United were drawn to entertain Jaap Stam’s Reading at Old Trafford.
The Dutchman played for the Red Devils for three years between 1998 and 2001 and was a key figure for Sir Alex Ferguson’s treble winning side in 1999 so it will be an emotional return to Old Trafford for the 44-year-old.
The game has been selected by BT Sport to be shown on live on January 7th at 12.30pm, meaning that United have now had their last 55 FA Cup games broadcast on live television – a run stretching back to 2005.
Arsenal’s trip to Deepdale to take on Preston North End will also be shown live on BT Sport on Saturday 7th, with that game kicking off in the evening 5.30pm slot.
The following day, Liverpool will play host to the winner of Newport or Plymouth and the game at Anfield will also be on BT Sport, kicking off at 1.30pm, while Cambridge versus Leeds United will be on BT on Monday at 7.45pm.
