Liverpool moved up to second place in the Premier League table with Adam Lallana scoring twice during a 3-0 win at Middlesbrough tonight.

The Reds were keen to get back to winning ways following two poor results and they got off to the perfect start as Lallana headed home a pin-point cross from Nathaniel Clyne in the 29th minute.

The visitors doubled their advantage when Divock Origi slammed home in to the bottom corner following a lovely team move involving Wijnaldum, Henderson, Mane and Lallana.

Liverpool continued to dominate and they wrapped up an impressive 3-0 victory when Lallana fired home after being teed-up by Origi in the 68th minute.

The victory sees Liverpool leapfrog Arsenal on goals-scored but they remain six points adrift of leaders Chelsea after they beat Sunderland 1-0 at the Stadium of Light.
