Managers are now making moves to try and strengthen their squads during the January transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest gossip from around the globe. Today, the race hots-up for Ivan Perisic…

Liverpool are ready to battle-it-out with Manchester United and Chelsea over the signing of £30m-rated Inter Milan playmaker Ivan Perisic, according to the Mirror.

The Croatian international joined Inter from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2015 and has continued to forge a reputation as one of the most gifted attackers in Europe during his time at the San Siro.

Perisic has scored 7 goals and provided a further 4 assists for his team mates in his 16 Serie A starts so far while he also stood out for his country at Euro 2016 last summer where they topped Group D after beating Spain before eventually crashing out to winners Portugal.

It seems Perisic has attracted plenty of interest as the Mirror are citing a report coming from Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport that claims Manchester United and Chelsea are keen on luring the playmaker to the Premier League.

However, it looks as though the English heavy-weights will now face even further competition as the newspaper suggests that Liverpool have also joined the race for Perisic’s signature this summer.

Understandably, Inter will be reluctant to lose the 27-year-old and the Mirror claim it will take an offer of around £30m to persuade the Italians to cash in but that sort of money shouldn’t be an issue for three of the Premier League’s wealthiest clubs.

Liverpool have seen their title challenge falter in recent weeks so Jurgen Klopp could be viewing Perisic as the perfect addition to compliment the likes of Philippe Coutinho, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino at Anfield.

Jose Mourinho has recently sold Memphis Depay to Lyon so the United boss may see Perisic as the ideal replacement while Antonio Conte will need to strengthen his attacking options this summer ahead of Chelsea’s expected return to the Champions League.

I think Perisic would be an excellent signing for any of the English clubs reportedly vying for his signature and he’s capable of playing anywhere across the attacking positions so he’d be a useful addition due to his versatility.

I’d love to see him plying his trade here in the Premier League so hopefully one of Liverpool, United or Chelsea will be successful in getting a deal agreed with Inter this summer.
