Liverpool will be looking to turn things around when they entertain Southampton in the second leg of their EFL Cup semi final tie this evening.

Jurgen Klopp must make do without Nathaniel Clyne as the full-back has been ruled out with a rib injury so Trent Alexander-Arnold starts at right-back while Joel Matip comes back in to the defence after being given clearance from FIFA last week.

Jordan Henderson starts despite on-going discomfort in his heel while Adam Lallana moves back in to the middle of midfield alongside Emre Can with Gini Wijnaldum dropping to the bench.

Daniel Sturridge starts in attack alongside Roberto Firmino and Philippe Coutinho with Divock Origi among the subs.

Here are the confirmed line-ups:

Karius; Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Matip, Milner; Henderson, Can, Lallana; Coutinho, Firmino, Sturridge.

Subs: Mignolet, Moreno, Lucas, Origi, Klavan, Woodburn, Wijnaldum

Forster, Cedric, Yoshida, Stephens, Bertrand, Romeu, Ward-Prowse, Davis, Tadic, Redmond, Rodriguez

Subs: Lewis, Clasie, Long, Martina, Hojberg, McQueen, Sims.
