Liverpool need to get back to winning ways following a poor run of form in January when they travel to the KCOM Stadium to take on Hull City on Saturday afternoon.

Ahead of the game, Jurgen Klopp has been speaking to the media at his pre-match press conference this afternoon and he’s given Liverpoolfc.com a team news and injury update.

The Reds boss was pleased to confirm that the Merseysiders didn’t pick up any fresh injury concerns following Tuesday night’s 1-1 draw with Premier League leaders Chelsea at Anfield.

Jordan Henderson was passed fit to face the Blues despite carrying an on-going heel problem and the Reds captain managed to complete the full ninety minutes unscathed while Dejan Lovren also showed no signs of the knock he was carrying going in to the match.

Nathaniel Clyne made a successful return to the starting eleven against Chelsea after missing Liverpool’s previous two games with a rib injury but the right-back also showed no sign of the problem on Tuesday night.

Klopp has confirmed that all three players suffered no reaction from the game in midweek so should be free to take part in full training today and be in the squad to face Hull this weekend.

The German coach is quoted as saying to the clubs website:

“We had, before the [Chelsea] game, a few issues,”

“We had still Clyney with the [rib] problem, but he was really fine, Hendo was really fine, Dejan Lovren was then really fine.

“Nothing else really happened in the game so they should be all in training today.”

It means that Klopp has virtually a full squad to choose from with Danny Ings, Marko Grujic and Ovie Ejaria the clubs only significant injury concerns heading in to weekend action.

Liverpool currently sit fourth in the Premier League table following the midweek round of fixtures but with Arsenal taking on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, the Merseysiders have a great chance of close the gap with a win at Hull this weekend.
