Manchester United moved to within just one point of the top four after easing to a 2-0 victory over Watford at Old Trafford this afternoon.
The Red Devils started well and opened the scoring midway through the first half when Juan Mata slotted home from close range following an excellent move involving Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Anthony Martial.
United continued to dominate and wrapped-up the three points when Martial cut inside to drill home in to the bottom corner for 2-0 following a swift break from the hosts.
The win sees United climb above Liverpool in to fifth place in the Premier League table and they now trail fourth-placed Manchester City by just one point ahead of their clash with Bournemouth on Monday night.
