[Tweets] Piers Morgan Hits Out At Wenger Following Arsenal Humiliation

Celebrity Arsenal fan and TV presenter Piers Morgan has once again taken aim at Arsene Wenger following our humiliating 5-1 defeat to Bayern Munich tonight.

We headed to the Allianz Arena for the first leg of our Champions League last-16 tie looking for a positive result and to keep ourselves in with a chance of progressing to the quarter finals.

Things were looking good at half-time as an Alexis Sanchez strike had cancelled out a stunner from Arjen Robben to leave the score level at 1-1 following the opening forty-five minutes.

However, we totally collapsed after the break and are on the verge of crashing out of the competition at the last-16 stage yet again after Bayern scored four second half goals to secure a 5-1 win.

Piers Morgan – a life-long Arsenal fan and shareholder – took to Twitter after the game to call the result a disgrace and once again called on Wenger to resign.

Morgan has long been in the ‘Wenger Out’ camp and regularly criticises the boss on social media so it was no surprise to see him hit out at Arsene after tonight’s embarrassment.

Will Wenger take Morgan’s advice and resign? I don’t think we’ll see him leave immediately but I find it difficult to see him staying beyond the end of his contract following this latest humiliation.
