Zlatan Ibrahimovic came off the bench to score the winner as Manchester United booked their place in the quarter finals of the FA Cup with a 2-1 win at Blackburn Rovers this afternoon.

A shock looked to be on the cards as Rovers opened the scoring in the 17th minute when Danny Graham fired home a superb effort to make it 1-0.

However, United levelled things up within ten minutes as Henrikh Mkhitaryan released Marcus Rashford with a stunning outside of the foot through ball and the young striker rounded the keeper to slot home for 1-1 in the 27th minute.

Jose Mourinho summoned Paul Pogba and Ibrahimovic from the bench in the second half and the superstar duo combined as Pogba found Zlatan with a long ball over the top and the Swedish hitman cooly slotted home a first-time effort for 2-1 in the 75th minute.

The win sees the holders continue the defence of the FA Cup and they’ll be in the draw for the quarter finals – which takes place shortly.
