Agent Confirms Unhappy Attacker ‘Wants To Leave’ Arsenal This Summer

Lucas Perez’s agent has confirmed that the attacker wants to leave Arsenal ‘at all costs’ after failing to hold down a first team place under Arsene Wenger

The January transfer window is now closed but we can still look at deals that failed to get across the line and those being lined-up for the summer. Today, Lucas Perez wants to leave Arsenal….

Lucas Perez’s agent has confirmed that the attacker wants to leave Arsenal ‘at all costs’ after failing to hold down a first team place under Arsene Wenger, according to Football Italia.

Perez has struggled to establish himself at the Emirates since making a £17m move from Deportivo La Coruna last summer, despite impressing during the rare opportunities he has been given.

The 28-year-old has made just eight starts in all competitions this season but has still managed to score 8 goals and provide a further 5 assists, including bagging a hat-trick against Basel in the Champions League group stages.

Perez’s lack of playing time has led to reported interest from AC Milan and the strikers agent, Rodrigo Fernandez Llovelle, has now opened the door to a move to the San Siro.

Llovelle has confirmed that Perez is unhappy at Arsenal due to a lack of playing time and want’s to leave the club ‘at all costs’ this summer, irrespective of who’s in charge next season.

He’s quoted as saying by Football Italia:

“He hasn’t received any offer yet. If Lucas leaves London – and he will leave because he’s had no chance with [Arsene] Wenger – he wants to go and play for a big club like Arsenal.

“Milan is a great club and he likes them very much, even if we’ve never talked with the Rossoneri hierarchy.

“Look, the truth is that Lucas wants to leave at all costs and is not happy at Arsenal, he hasn’t settled and hasn’t had a chance to play and show what he can do.

“No matter who is the manager in the future, we want to go. The player must have the chance to play.”

We’ll have to wait and see whether these quotes are verified or if Perez distances himself from them but you couldn’t really blame the striker if he does want to leave the Emirates.

He just hasn’t been given a chance by Wenger, despite his excellent return in terms of goals and assists, and I think he’s been a total waste sitting on the bench all season.

Every player needs time to adjust but Wenger hasn’t even tried to integrate him properly in to the team and it looks like those reports back in the summer that Perez’s signing was ‘forced’ on the boss may have some foundation.
