Some of the Manchester United players have been posting celebratory videos, messages and photos on social media after they won the EFL Cup with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Southampton at Wembley this afternoon.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic opened the scoring with a fine 20-yard free kick before Jesse Lingard doubled United’s advantage with a lovely finish in the 38th minute.
Southampton drew level thanks to a double from Manolo Gabbiadini but Ibrahimovic was the hero as he powered home a close range header in the 87th minute to secure a 3-2 win.
It means United lift the first piece of silverware this season and some of the players have now been posting some photos, messages and videos on social media this evening.
Antony Martial, Paul Pogba, Henrikh Mkharyan and Timothy Fosu-Mensah have all been active on the likes of Twitter and Instagram with the players sharing footage from inside the changing room as they celebrated the cup win.
