Chelsea will look to book their place in the FA Cup final when they take on title-rivals Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Saturday evening.

Ahead of the game, Antonio Conte has been speaking to the media at his press conference this afternoon and he’s offered a team news and injury update.

The Blues boss confirmed that Gary Cahill is a major doubt to play tomorrow after being sent to hospital this week having arrived at training on Tuesday with a fever.

The centre-back was assessed by doctors and was diagnosed with gallstones but while the problems isn’t thought too be serious, Cahill is still highly unlikely to feature against Spurs.

Conte had more positive news on the fitness of Thibaut Courtois as the goalkeeper is now back in contention after recovering from an ankle injury which he sustained while working on a basketball promotion last week.

Courtois missed last weekend’s defeat at Manchester United due to the minor problem but has returned to training and is expected to replace Asmir Begovic between the sticks tomorrow evening.

The Blues boss didn’t give any update on Marcos Alonso after the full-back was forced to pull out of the United game shortly before kick off after feeling unwell in the warm-up but the Spaniard is expected to be fit to face tottenham.

Victor Moses is another player who has reportedly been the victim of a sickness bug sweeping through the Chelsea squad but the Nigerian international is also likely to be passed fit.

Tomorrow’s first semi-final will be contested between the Premier League’s top two so not only is a spot in the FA Cup final at stake but the victor will also strike a physiological blow to their rivals in the title race.
