Arsenal Plotting Swoop For £61 Hitman But Player Eyes Liverpool Move

Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Arsenal are linked with Liverpool target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang….

Arsenal are plotting a swoop for Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but the £61m-rated Borussia Dortmund striker is eyeing a move to Liverpool instead, according to a report in the Daily Star.

Aubameyang enhanced his reputation as one of Europe’s most prolific strikers after scoring an incredible 40 goals in all competitions for Dortmund last season.

The Gabon international’s form has attracted plenty of interest and it looks as though two of the Premier League’s biggest clubs are ready to battle-it-out over his signature this summer.

The Daily Star are citing a report from Italian journalist Emanuele Giullianelli [via Tribal Football] who claims Arsenal are lining-up a move to sign Aubameyang as Arsene Wenger looks to land a top striker.

The Gunners boss is gearing-up for a busy summer of change in north London and the report says Wenger has identified Aubameyang as the man he wants to replace contract rebel Alexis Sanchez.

If the Chilean international refuses to sign a new deal then Giullianelli says Arsenal will sanction his sale to a foreign club this summer and then launch a swoop for £61m-rated striker Aubameyang.

However, Arsenal will face stiff competition as the Daily Star claim that Liverpool are also keen on signing the 27-year-old and Aubameyang is understood to be open to the idea of moving to Anfield.

Jurgen Klopp is in the market for a top class goal-scorer amid doubts over the future of Daniel Sturridge and the German coach knows Aubameyang well from their time together at Dortmund.

The newspaper says Liverpool chiefs are ready to bid up to £61m to land the pacey forward this summer so it looks like we could see a fierce battle with Arsenal over his signature.

Liverpool could be considered favourites as not only does Klopp know Aubameyang personally but the Merseysiders are able to offer something Arsenal can’t; Champions League football.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop over the coming weeks but I think Aubameyang would be a sensational signing for Arsenal or Liverpool and I’d love to see him plying his trade in the Premier League next season.

No No we dont want another African striker who we will lose along with mane for 2 months in the middle of the season. AFCON should be played in the summer like the World and Euro cups.
