Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, Chelsea are closing-in on a £98m double swoop….

Tiemoue Bakayoko is due to travel to London to complete his move to Chelsea from Monaco as Antonio Conte closes-in on a £98m double swoop that also involves Juventus full-back Alex Sandro , according to the Mirror.

Conte led Chelsea to the Premier League title in his first season in England but the Italian coach knows he needs to strengthen further if the Blues are to compete both domestically and in the Champions League next season.

A new central midfielder to partner N’Golo Kante has been a priority and the Bakayoko has emerged as a prime target after impressing during Monaco’s title-winning campaign last year.

The Express reported last week that the 22-year-old had opted to snub interest from Man Utd to link-up with Conte at Chelsea and it looks as though the deal is now on the verge of completion.

The Mirror claim today that Bakayoko is due to fly-in to London over the next 48 hours in order to finalise his move with Chelsea expected to pay Monaco £37m for the French international midfielder.

Bakayoko’s arrival will push Nemanja Matic towards the exit door with the Serbian international strongly linked with a £40m move to Manchester United in the Express today.

Conte is also looking to strengthen his options at left-back and the Mirror claim the Blues are now closing-in on a deal to sign Juve star Sandro in what would be a record deal for a defender.

The newspaper says Chelsea are close to agreeing terms with the Serie A champions after submitting an improved offer for the Brazilian international worth a whopping £61m – which would eclipse the £50m PSG paid for David Luiz.

Conte is keen to add competition for Marcos Alonso in the left wing-back position and Sandro has developed in to one of the best full-backs in Europe since joining Juventus from Porto two years ago.
