Arsenal To Offer Attacker £100k-A-Week Deal Ahead Of Potential £45m Move

Arsenal are increasingly confident of signing Thomas Lemar in a £45m deal and are ready to offer the attacker a lucrative contract worth £100,000-a-week

Managers are now pressing ahead with their plans for the summer transfer window so we’ll bring you all the latest news and gossip from around the globe. Today, more on Arsenal’s pursuit of Thomas Lemar…

Arsenal are increasingly confident of signing Thomas Lemar in a £45m deal and are ready to offer the attacker a lucrative contract worth £100,000-a-week, according to the Mirror.

Arsene Wenger broke the clubs transfer record to snap-up striker Alexandre Lacazette last week while left-back Sead Kolasinac has also arrived on a free transfer from Schalke.

However, the boss is still in the market for more new recruits and Lemar has emerged as a prime target in recent weeks with Wenger admitting at his press conference yesterday that he’s keen on the Monaco attacker.

It seems the Frenchman is determined to get his man as the Mirror claim that after already seeing a £40m offer rejected, Arsenal are willing to pay at least £45m to land Lemar this summer.

A fresh offer is expected to go soon and the newspaper says we are ready to offer the 21-year-old a lucrative five-year contract worth £100,000-a-week if he makes the move to north London.

The Mirror suggest that Lemar is keen to join Arsenal and his representatives have already informed Monaco of this so we’re hopeful of getting a deal agreed over the coming weeks.

Lemar has developed in to one of the most exciting young attackers in Europe and has just come off the back of a superb campaign that saw him score 14 goals and provide a further 17 assists to help guide Monaco to the Ligue 1 title.

He’s predominantly played on the left side of attack so there has been the fear among supporters that Wenger is lining-up the French international as a potential replacement for contract rebel Alexis Sanchez.

However, Wenger insists our Chilean super star won’t be sold this summer even if he doesn’t sign a new deal so it looks like the boss is hoping to see Lemar play alongside Sanchez next season if we can get a deal agreed.
