Chelsea Ready To Agree Deal For Man Utd Target As Conte Closes-In On 5th Signing

Chelsea are ready to accept Bayern Munich’s demands and agree a deal to sign midfielder Renato Sanches on a season-loan loan deal this summer, according to a report in the Express.

Sanches has been tipped to leave the Allianz Arena this summer after failing to hold down a regular first team place under Carlo Ancelotti since moving to the club from Benfica 12 months ago.

The 19-year-old was handed just 6 Bundesliga starts last season so it’s no surprise the Portuguese international is looking for a move in order to play more regular football ahead of the 2018 World Cup.

There was initially talk in the media of a permanent sale but Bayern have suggested they would prefer to keep hold of the talented youngster so a loan move is now on the cards.

Sanches has been strongly linked with a move to the Premier League and boss Carlo Ancelotti suggested last week that the midfielder could join Man Utd after Jose Mourinho identified him as a target [via the Express].

The United boss is in the market for another central midfielder as Marouane Fellaini looks set for a move to Turkey and Mourinho had shown an interest in luring his compatriot to Old Trafford.

However, it seems Sanches could now be heading to west London as the Express are citing a report from Corriere dello Sport that claims Chelsea are ready to accept Bayern’s demands to secure a season-long loan deal.

Blues boss Antonio Conte has been extremely busy in the transfer market having already signed four new players in Tiemoue Bakayoko, Willy Caballero, Alvaro Morata and Antonio Rudiger ahead of their return to the Champions League.

But the Italian coach needs to sign another midfielder as Nemanja Matic is set to join Man Utd  [see a photo of him in a United shirt here] and it seems he’s closing-in on a deal to make Sanches his fifth summer signing.

We’ll have to wait and see how things develop but it looks like the Portuguese youngster could be heading to London and I think Sanches would be a superb signing if Chelsea could get this proposed deal over the line.
