[Video Goals] Watford 3-3 Liverpool: Salah Goal Not Enough As Hornets Strike Late

Miguel Britos scored deep in to injury time to salvage a 3-3 draw as Watford came from behind to deny Liverpool all three points at Vicarage Road

Miguel Britos scored deep in to injury time to salvage a 3-3 draw as Watford came from behind to deny Liverpool all three points at Vicarage Road this afternoon.

The hosts started well and opened the scoring in the 8th minute when Stefano Okaka headed home from close range following a corner before Sadio Mane levelled things up with a fine finish on the half-hour mark.

Watford restored their lead just minutes later when Abdoulaye Doucoure was on hand to fire home after Liverpool had failed to clear their lines to make it 2-1 in the 32nd minute.

The visitors were then awarded a penalty shortly after half-time after Salah was fouled by Gomes and Roberto Firmino made no mistake to make it 2-2 before the Brazilian forward set-up Mohamed Salah to put Liverpool ahead for the first time in the game.

It looked as though Jurgen Klopp’s men would hold out to secure a vital win but there was a late sting in the tale as Miguel Britos bundled home from close range to make it 3-3 in injury time after poor defending by Wijnaldum and Mignolet.
