APOEL vs Tottenham Preview, Team News, Line-ups & Predicted Score

Tottenham take on APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus this evening. Here is a preview with team news, line-ups and predicted score

Tottenham will look to make it two wins from two games in their Champions League group when they take on APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus this evening.

Spurs got their European campaign off to the perfect start after beating Borussia Dortmund at Wembley earlier this month so they will be well positioned in Group H if they can come away with another three points tonight.

Mauricio Pochettino’s men warmed up for the game with a hard fought 3-2 win over West Ham at the London Stadium on Saturday which saw them climb up to fourth in the Premier League table.

APOEL will be desperate to get some points on the board after losing their opener 3-0 at Real Madrid but the Cypriot minnows know they have no chance of progressing to the knockout stages.

Team news

Tottenham are without Christian Eriksen as the attacker hasn’t travelled to Cyprus due to illness while Dele Alli serves the second of his three-game suspension.

Jan Vertonghen is also serving a one-match ban following his dismissal against Dortmund so youngster Juan Foyth could come in to the back three.

Mousa Dembele misses out with an ankle problem so he joins Erik Lamela, Danny Rose and Victor Wanyama on the treatment table.

Serge Aurier is facing a domestic ban after being sent off against West Ham so he’s likely to keep his place tonight while Harry Winks and Hueng-min Son are in-line for recalls.

Likely Line-Ups

Predicted Score

APOEL 0-2 Tottenham: The hosts have lost 10 of their last 12 Champions League games and have never even kept a clean sheet at home in the group stages so Spurs should be confident of securing a win. Despite their depleted squad, I can see a comfortable away win tonight.
